General Range Information

Foothills Archery Club, located in the Diamond Valley area, offers a safe, welcoming outdoor environment for archers of all skill levels. Situated on private land, our range provides a safe and controlled setting ideal for recreational shooting, skill development, and club activities.

We are currently an outdoor range and are actively exploring opportunities to develop an indoor facility for year-round shooting.

Range Features

Our range is designed to support both beginner and experienced archers in a safe and organized setting. Features include:

  • Multiple shooting lanes accommodating 10+ archers at a time
  • Clearly defined shooting and waiting lines
  • Target stands and designated shooting areas
  • Controlled access to maintain a safe shooting environment

The range layout is flexible and can be adjusted to suit lessons, casual shooting, and organized club events.

Shooting Distances

The range supports a wide variety of shooting distances to accommodate all experience levels, including:

  • Short distances starting at 10 yards for beginner practice
  • Intermediate distances for skill development
  • Longer distances extending beyond 60 yards for experienced archers
  • Range layouts adaptable to training requirements

Distances may be adjusted depending on range setup and scheduled activities.

Equipment & Targets

Foothills Archery Club provides target stands and a variety of target types, including:

  • Foam block targets
  • Bag targets
  • 3D targets

Archery equipment is available for use, making it easy for new participants to try the sport without needing their own gear.

Members are also welcome to bring personal equipment, provided it is safe and suitable for range use.

Range Safety

Safety is a top priority at Foothills Archery Club. All archers are expected to follow established range rules at all times, including:

  • Following all range commands
  • Shooting only when the range is clear
  • Retrieving arrows only when instructed
  • Handling equipment responsibly

All new members are required to complete an orientation covering range rules and safe shooting practices before using the range.

Club Facilities

As an outdoor range on private land, our facilities are simple and focused on the shooting experience. Available amenities include:

  • Equipment setup and shooting areas
  • Target storage and range space
  • On-site parking for members and visitors
  • Outhouse facilities

Range Hours

Regular shooting times are currently:

  • Thursdays: 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM

Additional shooting nights, including potential Tuesday sessions, may be added as the club continues to grow.

Members are kept informed of any schedule updates and special events.

Who Can Use the Range

Foothills Archery Club welcomes a wide range of participants, including:

  • Club members
  • New archers interested in trying the sport
  • Drop-in guests (with a $15 fee)

The club is family-friendly and encourages participation from both beginners and experienced archers alike.
